Le Petit Chevallon Booking, Payment Procedure and Conditions

Important.  Please read this carefully, sign, date and return with your signed Booking Form, signed Swimming Pool Declaration and initial payment.

1. Linen and Towel hire

Bed linen and towels will be provided at the following rates:

Sheet, duvet cover and pillow case, 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel at £16 per week per person. Please pay your total hire charges when you make your final balencing payment and confirm your precise requirements specifying single or double beds on your booking form.

NB Please bring your own beach and swimming towels.

Clean tea towels and bath mats will be provided free of charge.

2. Deposit for cleaning, breakages, accidental damage

A fully refundable security deposit of £250 will be required with the Balancing Payment. This will be repaid in full, less any properly deductible costs for cleaning, (charged at £18 per hour), breakages, damage, approx two weeks after the holiday, upon confirmation from our housekeeper that all is well. In the event that the cost of remedy to any damage occasioned exceeds the deposit, a bill for the balance will be sent to you with supporting invoices.

3. Payment and Conditions

1.      Initial Deposit. A payment of 30% of the cost of the total rental due, together with a signed documentation will confirm the booking, subject to all other payments being made when due. The booking cannot be held unless the Initial Deposit and signed documentation are received within seven working days. Cheque should be made payable to: William Boyle.

2.      Payment of balance. The 70% balance of the rental payment and the £250 security / cleaning deposit, are required not less than 8 weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday. A bank transfer in the Euro equivalent to my French bank  is preferred

3.      Cancellation. You may cancel your booking at any time, if the cancellation is made in writing by the person who confirmed the booking at the outset, but subject to the following conditions: a). The deposit is forfeit if the booking is cancelled between the time of the booking and 8 weeks prior to commencement of the holiday. b). If the cancellation is made between 8 and 6 weeks prior to commencement of the holiday, 50% of the total cost of accommodation will be forfeit. c). If the cancellation is made between 6 and 4 weeks prior to commencement of the holiday, 75% of the total cost of accommodation will be forfeit. d). If the cancellation is made later than 4 weeks prior to commencement of the holiday, or after the holiday has started, the entire cost of the holiday will be forfeit. We strongly advise that you take out holiday insurance to cover the above possibilities, as well as any other eventualities. Under French law it is the individual who must be covered by insurance and not the property.

4.      Services. The price quoted for your holiday includes water and winter fuel for the log fires, domestic electricity and a small welcome pack.

5.      Commencement of Booking. The property will be available from 4.00 pm on the First Saturday of your holiday. The property must be promptly vacated by 10.00 am on the Saturday of departure.

6.      Tenant’s responsibility. You are responsible for all and any damage or breakages. Please read the House Manual a copy of which will be sent to you to ensure you understand how everything works. You are also responsible for leaving the property as you will have found it, in a clean and tidy condition. Failure to leave the premises in the condition you found them will result in a charge at the rate of £18 per hour to bring the property back to standard for the next guests. I expect that many may prefer to leave the cleaning to our cleaners as you are on holiday in which case we will simply make the appropriate deduction from your deposit to cover this cost at the hourly rate. This is on average between two and three hours). The cost of damages, breakages to be made good and any cleaning will be deducted from the tenant’s returnable deposit. Amounts in excess of the deposit will be billed to the tenant with supporting invoices.

7.      Smoking. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the house. If someone must do so, please ensure this happens in the garden and that all cigarette / cigar ends are disposed of properly, and not in the kitchen bin.

8.      No pets.

9.      Liability. The use of the house, amenities, pool equipment, and any other facilities on site is wholly at the tenant’s risk and no responsibility can be accepted for any injury, loss or damage to the user’s or other visitors person or belongings, including cars.

10.  Marketing material. Whilst every effort has been made to ensure that the marketing details provided for the house etc are accurate, these have been made in good faith and the representations contained therein will create no liability on the part of the proprietors.

I have read and understood all the booking conditions and hereby agree to them and will ensure that all the members of my party also abide by them
