The house is built in traditional Charentaise style with rendered and exposed stone walls and shuttered windows and French windows. The inside is nearly all exposed stone with high ceilings in the principal rooms and plentiful exposed old beams and attractive features. The ground floor is tiled throughout.


The house is arranged predominantly on the ground floor and provides ample accommodation for 8/9, plus infant(s). A travel cot , high chair, pram and rucksack carrier are available.

The house is accessed from the terrace through french windows into the Kitchen


The Kitchen, which doubles as a dining area, is a large farm house style room with beams and high ceilings, and is fitted with modern kitchen units and the usual modern amenities one would expect including fridge freezer, oven, hob, washing machine, washing up machine etc.  

There is a large wood burning fire place, supplemented by wall mounted electric radiators for out of season visitors. In front of the fireplace there is a seating area and a dining area with dining table, and chairs.


Off the Kitchen is the Hall which gives access to the ground floor shower, lavatory and basin, Bedrooms One and Two , Living Room and  the stairs to the first floor bedroom and bathroom.


There are four bedrooms. Bedrooms Three and Four have double beds and ensuite bathrooms, whilst Bedroom One has two single beds, and Bedroom Two has 2 bunks and a single bed. Bedrooms One and Two share the shower, basin and lavatory which adjoins these rooms, and which is accessed from the Hall. Bedroom Three is also on the ground floor and is accessed off the Living room. with the Bedroom Four, and one of the bathrooms, on the first floor.

Living room

The living room is a good sized room, with French windows opening onto the terrace with views across the lawn to the swimming pool. The room is comfortably furnished and is heated, out of season by a fire place, supplemented, by wall mounted electric radiators. There is a TV, for use with the DVD and Video players and a Stereo system with a Radio, Tape player, CD player and Ipod connection.There is a good selection of novels and reference books, games, children’s videos and some DVD’s.
